Morgan Pitelka, Director of the Carolina Asia Center and Associate Professor of Asian Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, was recently interviewed by The Daily Tarheel, UNC’s student newspaper, about his work on pre-modern Japan. The interview followed Pitelka’s Oct. 29 talk on Tokugawa Ieyasu at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill. The “Art, Culture, and Power in Pre-Modern Japan” talk was part of the UNC Program in the Humanities “Spotlight on Scholars” series. Check out the article here.
