Japanese-Tea-JGJoin Duke Gardens for a free drop-in festival in the Asiatic Arboretum, with Asian-inspired activities and demonstrations. Tickets will be issued at the Durham-Toyama Sister Cities Teahouse for limited, small groups to experience a brief tea sampling at scheduled times; plan to go there first to pick up a ticket. Activities include: writing haiku poetry, origami, martial arts demonstrations, kamishibai storytelling, Japanese and Korean drumming, demonstrations of traditional Asian art techniques, and more. Please follow signs to each activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free. No registration required. Parking fees apply. Information: 919-668-1707.
