Join Duke Gardens for a free drop-in festival in the Asiatic Arboretum, with Asian-inspired activities and demonstrations. Tickets will be issued at the Durham-Toyama Sister Cities Teahouse for limited, small groups to experience a brief tea sampling at scheduled times; plan to go there first to pick up a ticket. Activities include: writing haiku poetry, origami, martial arts demonstrations, kamishibai storytelling, Japanese and Korean drumming, demonstrations of traditional Asian art techniques, and more.
